About The Position

Intel Foundry is seeking a Gases Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of gas delivery systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing. As part of the Facilities team, the technician operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and improves critical gas distribution infrastructure that affects manufacturing performance, product quality, and operational reliability. The role works with engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and other technicians to maintain uninterrupted high-purity gas delivery while upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards. The technician operates and monitors gas delivery systems, performs preventive and corrective maintenance, inspects and repairs equipment, completes equipment changeovers and system restorations, and coordinates gas deliveries and vendor activities. The role monitors SCADA/Cimplicity and related controls, responds to alarms and abnormal conditions, uses operational data and analytical instrumentation to diagnose issues, and leads structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. The position also involves gas sampling and analytical testing, maintaining contamination control and sample integrity, supporting semiconductor purity standards, and identifying improvements to reliability and risk prevention. The technician maintains work and shift-turnover documentation, uses computerized maintenance management systems and digital tools, supports procedures and risk assessments, and shares technical knowledge with other technicians. This role is based onsite in Phoenix, Arizona, and requires a compressed 12-hour night-shift schedule rotating between three and four days per week. Weekend, holiday, overtime, and on-call support may be needed. Work takes place in cleanroom and industrial environments and involves required PPE, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, walking several miles per shift, working at heights, climbing ladders, and operating powered industrial equipment after certification. The position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
