About The Position

Inframark is seeking a Gas Technician or Technician in Training to help operate and maintain the municipal natural gas system in Tifton, Georgia. This hands-on field role may suit candidates with experience in HVAC, plumbing, utilities, construction, mechanical systems, or customer service who enjoy outdoor work and problem-solving. The position supports safe, reliable natural gas service through line locating, inspections, installations, repairs, maintenance, meter reading, and service documentation. Offers are contingent upon successful completion of background screening, drug testing, and driving record review where applicable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to safety.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical, utility, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical experience is preferred.
• Utility locating experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark natural gas lines.
• Perform leak checks and basic system inspections.
• Assist with gas service installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Read meters and support service turn-ons and shut-offs.
• Complete maintenance records and service documentation.
• Support traffic control, site maintenance, and safety initiatives.
