About The Position

The Gas Station Attendant is responsible for the daily operation of the gas station. The role includes opening and closing procedures, monitoring and maintaining equipment, assisting members with transactions and payments, and following safety, environmental, and security standards. The attendant also performs cash-drawer procedures, oversees fuel deliveries, responds to spills, maintains cleanliness, and supports club policies and procedures. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service and promptly assist members.
• Promote the safety of people, property, and the environment while assisting with gas station transactions.
• Monitor sales transactions and handle cash transactions when applicable.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and perform custodial duties as needed.
• Monitor gas station reports, ensure reports are generated, complete checklist procedures, and document and address issues.
• Perform all opening and closing procedures accurately.
• Regularly monitor and maintain gas station equipment.
• Oversee fuel deliveries and complete required preparation procedures.
• Follow gas station safety, environmental, and security standards and notify management and the help desk of alarms.
• Perform cash drawer procedures, including deposits, verification, documentation, and control.
• Conduct daily competitive price surveys and ensure posted prices and club signage match prices in the POS system.
• Follow spill bucket and spilled-material procedures, including immediate response and cleanup.
• Log visitors and verify proper identification before allowing entry to the kiosk area.
• Notify the corporate office about non-routine maintenance vendor visits, including visits by weights and measures personnel, inspectors, and state employees.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
