About The Position

Q3 Contracting, a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is hiring field professionals for union construction opportunities supporting natural gas distribution projects in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and surrounding areas. Multiple positions are available, including equipment operators, general laborers, PE pipe fusers, pipe welders, pipe fitters, plumbers, horizontal directional drill operators, utility locators, traffic control specialists, flaggers, and restoration professionals. Work may involve operating heavy equipment, installing underground utilities, maintaining safe job sites, and supporting field crews. Occasional travel may be necessary depending on project needs. Specific qualifications and duties vary by position.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and safely perform physically demanding work.
• Willingness to travel occasionally when project needs require it.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
• Participation in applicable federally compliant PHMSA or FMCSA drug and alcohol testing programs, including pre-employment and ongoing random testing.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is highly preferred.
• Class A CDL with applicable endorsements is highly preferred, but is not required for all positions.
• Previous construction experience in natural gas distribution, pipeline, electric, transmission, telecommunications, water, sewer, landscaping, concrete/asphalt, agriculture, or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and support construction activities, depending on the position.
• Install underground utilities and support natural gas distribution projects.
• Help maintain safe job sites and keep field crews moving.
• Perform trade-specific work in roles such as pipe fusing, welding, pipe fitting, plumbing, drilling, utility locating, traffic control, flagging, and restoration.
• Follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
