About The Position

South Country Co-op is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Gas Bar Attendant to join our team at the Brooks Gas Bar in Brooks, AB. The Gas Bar Attendant plays a key role in creating a positive customer experience by delivering friendly, efficient service while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This includes operating fuel pumps, handling transactions, stocking inventory, and maintaining site standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift 20–30 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
• Able to work in various weather conditions
• Basic computer, calculator, and POS skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and a team player
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the pumps, car wash, and propane station
• Operate computerized cash registers and process payments accurately
• Stock inventory, organize merchandise, and maintain product displays
• Ensure the gas bar is clean, safe, and organized both inside and outside
• Follow safety guidelines and uphold company policies
• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers, promoting merchandise, and ensure customer needs, preferences, and expectations are met
• Educate customers on the benefits of membership in South Country Co-op
• Other duties as assigned
