About The Position

Otter Co-op is hiring for Part-Time Gas Bar Associates for their Progress Way Gas Bar located in Chilliwack, BC. Otter Co-op is a diverse and growing organization with over 103 years in business, operating various businesses including food and pharmacy stores, liquor stores, a feed mill, bulk petroleum facilities, a pub, and multiple gas station/convenience stores. They are a locally owned and community-minded organization serving the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and BC Interior.

Requirements

• Strong math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Motivation and ability to work in a busy work environment
• Commitment to a SAFE working environment
• Reliable transportation as bus is not always reliable for all shifts
• Ability to become certified to sell BCLC products
• Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Open availability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
• May require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a convenience store or gas station is an asset
• Previous customer service experience in a retail setting is an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide pump island and sales area product and exemplary service to customers in a courteous efficient manner and within approved programs, policies and procedure
• Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties
• Complete daily summaries and other paperwork as required
• Operate the cash register and other equipment as required
• Prepare the daily pump and cash reconciliation reports
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned
