About The Position

In this role, you will report to the Site Services Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

Requirements

  • 6+ months’ experience in material handling, inventory replenishment, and/or customer service preferred
  • Some verifiable work experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office suite.
  • Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues required.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • High level of customer service skills with the ability to display a professional can-do attitude required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs required.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines required.
  • Problem-solving skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know experience is considered a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a GMP facility is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Point of use replenishment of garments
  • Collection of used garments.
  • Collection of usage data at the point of use and adding it to the tracking log
  • Receive inbound shipments from common carriers.
  • Responsible for preparing shipping documentation and staging material for pickup.
  • Run the customer’s database of hanger assignments.
  • Inspection of any damaged garments being returned as truly damaged items.
  • Daily inspections of inventory & soil bins check to avoid overflow.
  • Review and approve any invoices to packaging and shipping receipts.
  • Ordering new garments as needed or any special sizes.
  • Mapping out garment locations for training aids
  • Point person for any garment issues or concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
