About The Position

Mission Linen Supply is hiring Production Staff – Garment Finisher to perform industrial laundry production flow activities under the direction of the operating plant’s Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager. The role involves processing, sorting, classifying, pressing, transporting, and preparing garments and linens for pickup. No prior industrial laundry experience is required. The position is full-time, with competitive hourly pay based on education, experience, other qualifications, and assignment location, along with full benefits. The job takes place in a fast-paced production environment. Employees stand for long periods and regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The work environment is regularly wet and/or humid, and the noise level is usually loud. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and stand for long periods.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with plant equipment or machinery is highly desired, but not required.
Prior industrial laundry experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Operate press equipment.
Process laundry in the plant-established lot order.
Maintain production floor distribution.
Shake, sort by route, sequence by route, and lay out items before pressing.
Classify and lay out items for pressing, such as industrial shirts and executive dress shirts.
Separate soil pick-up tickets.
Check items for needed repairs.
Lift garments and/or linens onto the line storage system.
Trolley garments and/or linens for truck pickup.
Load trollies into trailers.
Ensure colleagues practice safety procedures at all times.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
