Garden Nursery Specialist/Sales Associate
About The Position
Rio Vista Ace Hardware is seeking a Garden Nursery Specialist/Sales Associate who embodies world-class service and a positive, supportive, sales-focused attitude. The ideal candidate will prioritize customers, stay informed about promotions, continuously expand product knowledge, and possess merchandising skills. While knowledge of plants, gardening, native and drought-tolerant species, outdoor power equipment, and soils is preferred, training will be provided. This role involves assisting customers with gardening questions and maintaining an enthusiastic and helpful demeanor.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent or currently in school.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of plants, gardening, native and drought tolerant, outdoor power equipment and soils preferred, will train
- Trade skills accompanied by a personality that will support our Core Values and mission is a plus but will train.
Responsibilities
- Puts "Customers First, Tasks Second."
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements and provide this information to customers.
- Continually work on increasing knowledge of the products we sell and their uses
- Merchandising skills and abilities.
- Help customers with gardening questions
