Garbage Driver
About The Position
Waste Connections is hiring a Local Garbage Truck Driver at its South Austin, Texas site near the airport. The driver works with another driver on specified routes, operating a residential garbage truck to collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites. This is a physically demanding driver/driver team position that requires taking turns working on the back of the garbage truck. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 6 a.m. and usually working 10 or more hours per day. The company offers family benefits, a 401(k), and paid time off. Requirements
- Class A or B CDL.
- Clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 65 pounds throughout a shift of 10 or more hours.
