About The Position

The Garage Valet Attendant is a customer service position responsible for parking and retrieving customers’ vehicles. The role aims to provide a positive, efficient, safe, and secure parking experience and make a strong impression through friendly, professional interactions with guests and customers. The attendant also helps maintain an organized garage operation and provides information about garage hours, rates, and promotions when requested.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
Able to smile during customer interactions.
Upbeat personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and strong work ethic.
Maintain uniform standards while on the job premises.
Able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Able to move quickly and organize cars efficiently.
Able to stand for long periods.
Able to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test on a manual transmission vehicle.
Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Able to pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
Able to build relationships with customers and stay organized.
Clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider.

Responsibilities

Keep the safety of self and others in mind at all times.
Park customers’ vehicles in designated spots safely and securely, minimizing the potential for accidents.
Keep track of keys and vehicles throughout the garage.
Provide an exceptional guest experience.
Maintain organization at the operation.
Create a positive environment for customers and teammates through an enthusiastic approach.
Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices.
Help facilitate the transition at the end of the shift.
Provide information about the garage, including hours of operation, rates, and special promotions, upon request.
Maintain a neatly groomed appearance.
Complete cleaning duties as assigned.
Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
Follow safety protocols and procedures, wear appropriate safety gear, and promptly report hazards or incidents.
Fill out damage or accident reports.
