About The Position
Garage Door Doctor is seeking a Garage Door Technician – Sales & Service Professional to join their growing team. This role combines mechanical expertise with in-home consultative sales, where the technician will diagnose and fix problems, educate homeowners, recommend upgrades, and close sales on the spot. The position offers a unique blend of hands-on work, customer interaction, and sales opportunities, with a focus on providing excellent customer experiences.
Requirements
- Mechanical / Construction experience (carpentry, HVAC, electrical, general building, or similar trades).
- Strong communication and sales skills with a track record of upselling or closing deals.
- Great driving record, clean background, and ability to pass a drug screen.
- Comfort lifting 50 lbs overhead and working with tools.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a team-first mindset.
- All candidates are required to undergo pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings, as well as a Motor Vehicle Record Check.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and install residential garage doors and openers.
- Meet with homeowners in person, build trust, and present tailored solutions.
- Upsell products and services based on customer needs.
- Complete 4–5 pre-scheduled appointments daily (all leads provided).
- Ensure a professional, safe, and positive customer experience every time.
