About The Position
Bonney Plumbing, Electrical, Heating & Air is searching for an experienced Residential Garage Door Lead Technician in Sacramento, CA who can perform daily residential garage door installation and service operations. This position performs substantial field work, including installations, repairs, service, and troubleshooting, while also supporting scheduling, quality control, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- C-28 Lock and Security Equipment Contractor License Required
- Minimum of three (3) years of residential garage door installation and service experience required
- Prior lead technician experience with garage door installation or service
- Strong technical knowledge of garage door systems and troubleshooting
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and service residential garage doors and openers
- Diagnose the issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Perform spring replacements, track adjustments, and system troubleshooting
- Manage daily job execution, including planning, routing, and completing service calls
- Ensure all work meets company standards and manufacturer specifications
- Communicate directly with customers regarding work performed and recommendations
- Complete work orders, job notes, and required documentation
- Assist in setting up processes, tools, and best practices for the department
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Perform other related duties as assigned
