About The Position

ProLift Garage Doors is seeking motivated Installation and Repair Technicians to join our growing team in West Michigan. As a Garage Door Installation and Repair Technician, you will travel to customer locations in a company-provided service vehicle to install garage doors and openers, diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and perform repairs. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Clean criminal background check.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Ability to pass any required pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

Previous garage door installation or repair experience preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to troubleshoot independently and think critically.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Diagnose garage door issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
Prepare and present repair and replacement, preventive maintenance estimates to customers.
Assist in training new technicians and installers as needed.
Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, including truck inventory.
Resolve customer service concerns professionally and efficiently.
Utilize company software, smartphones, and tablets to manage daily operations.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, related equipment and lift heavy materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.
