About The Position

Performs varied tasks to ensure compliance with all approved Internal Controls, Policies and Procedures set forth in the Casinos Operations Manuals. The role requires presence in all areas of the Gaming Facility and at all hours of operation, with access to all areas to ensure compliance. The Gaming Inspector will observe, report, and document all violations of noncompliance, and seek resolution for concerns and complaints.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty in an exemplary manner.
  • Skilled in prioritizing responsibilities and assignments with minimal supervision and completing them in a timely manner.
  • Excellent oral and written habits.
  • Demonstrate initiative and motivation.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Related experience, preferably Casino or Gaming experience.
  • Knowledgeable with Table Games, Slot Gaming Devices and their related occurrences.
  • Ability to compose clear, concise, and effective reports.
  • Ability to conduct extensive investigations and departmental audits.
  • Mental qualities to document sound judgments and decisions that will benefit the Commission.
  • Ability to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs/step ladders and sitting at a desk work station for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 30 lbs. on an intermittent basis.
  • Sufficient dexterity of hand to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-lined telephone.

Responsibilities

  • Protect Tribal Assets related to gaming to ensure the honesty and integrity of all Gaming Operations operated by the Tribe.
  • Become intimately familiar with the policies and procedures of all departments in the gaming facility, as well as the Internal Controls that govern the gaming facility.
  • Become familiar with the organizational structure of each department, including staff responsibilities.
  • Conduct foot patrols of the interior and exterior of Casino property, concentrating on the gaming areas.
  • Perform observations and be visible on the gaming floor as a representative of the Commission.
  • Identify potential problems and risks with respect to Internal Controls, Casino, Commission, and Tribal policies.
  • Conduct Departmental Audits to validate policy compliance.
  • Generate reports and findings of observations made.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve customer complaints, where applicable.
  • Stay alert to and conduct safety observations of any physical hazards or acts/omissions that might jeopardize the safety of customers and/or employees.
  • Verify employee identification and license status on a regular basis.
  • Verify Vendor access and/or license status based on Commission compliance.
  • Interact with Casino Employees to ensure the safe and enjoyable entertainment of Casino customers.
  • Monitor all Casino employees to ensure that all regulations are being adhered to.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
