The Gaming Attendant is responsible for servicing and building relationships with guests, paying hand-pay jackpots, and performing minor repairs on HHR machines. This role involves ensuring all department paperwork and data entry is completed correctly, including jackpot slips, tax documents, and guest claim forms, ensuring all required signatures are present. The attendant will maintain the electronic components, systems, and peripherals of HHR machines, performing preventative maintenance during downtime. They must maintain confidentiality of privileged information according to company policy and state regulations, and have knowledge of all HHR machines on the gaming floor to determine proper payouts. Protecting company assets by adhering to policies and regulatory compliance, including Internal Controls, The Responsible Gaming Plan, and Title 31, is crucial. The attendant ensures gaming devices operate properly, promptly calling for technical or supervisory assistance when needed, and promotes player card usage. Maintaining paper levels in terminals and being able to read gaming floor glass and pay table information, recalling vital game histories, are also key responsibilities. Notifying shift supervisors of irregularities in guest play and ensuring HHR machines function properly for guest use are essential. The role requires knowledge of basic Virginia Racing Commission rules and regulations, and company policies to ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures. Other related duties may be assigned.
