About The Position

Atomic Theory, part of the Rocket Science Group, is seeking an experienced Producer for their Albany, NY office. This is a hybrid role, requiring some in-office work with optional remote work. The Producer will be responsible for supporting and augmenting feature development by working closely with developers and client partners. As the primary liaison between the studio and clients, the Producer must maintain a positive and productive relationship, ensuring timely communication, successful milestone delivery, and fulfilling promises to build trust. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, capable of managing large or multiple small projects in technical environments utilizing agile software development, production processes, and testing.

Requirements

  • 3+ yrs professional production or project management experience
  • Proof that you have shipped more than one game cycle through to release, bonus for any certification for current-generation consoles (e.g., Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5)
  • Experience coordinating or engaging with multiple teams of multi-discipline developers
  • A hardy familiarity and successful involvement with technical environments, agile development workflows, production processes, testing, and software development
  • Advanced user proficiency of any current planning tools (e.g. Jira, ClickUp, GitHub) and able to adapt to any other software made available by the studio or partners
  • An ability to create, track, and maintain schedules for a project and team of developers
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • An internal drive to keep team members working efficiently and effectively toward project goals, keeping focus on the valuable product increments and scope
  • A passion for continuous improvement and setting out new challenges for your studio

Responsibilities

  • Foster a productive and positive relationship within the teams and client partners, proactive in setting out a culture and framework that builds and sustains trust.
  • Clarify scope, timely address issues and resolve blockers as needed.
  • Facilitate communication, reporting and planning across project teams and sub-teams, using tools & processes made available by the client or our studio.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into the development process as appropriate.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks and roadblocks.
  • Build and own a strategic roadmap of transformations and improvements and enable their implementation by winning stakeholders’ hearts and minds.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget, without crunching or affecting the wellbeing of all team members.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure client feedback is incorporated into the development process and studio ways of working.
  • Act as a production point of contact between the studio and clients, ensuring clear communication and productive collaboration during the project lifecycle.
  • Work with client partners to gain full understanding of the scope, understand their goals and objectives, and develop processes & roadmaps to achieve them.
