Game Presentation Intern - Frederick Keys
About The Position
The Frederick Keys Game Presentation Intern is a part-time internship intended only for current university students who will receive college credit for participating. The intern gains real-world experience working with the organization and an experienced marketing and press box team, builds a professional network, and engages with fans through multiple channels. Working with the Keys Marketing Team, the intern helps create still and motion graphics, in-game entertainment, videos, fan-engagement materials, and other game presentation content. The role also provides opportunities to learn about marketing a professional sports team and to shadow marketing staff as directed by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager.
Requirements
- Be a current college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student working for academic credit in Film, Videography, Media Arts, Broadcast Media, Graphic Design, Motion Design, Motion Graphics, or a related field.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, and/or other Adobe software.
- Ability to uphold company and Attain customer service standards.
- Be energetic, enthusiastic, and a dedicated team player.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Eagerness to listen, learn, and receive constructive feedback.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives.
- Provide examples of work and include a link to a portfolio.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with a Tricaster.
Responsibilities
- Assist with creating still images, videos, animations, and ribbon board content for in-game use.
- Assist with creating sponsorship activation materials for in-game use.
- Assist with creating broadcast graphics for the Frederick Keys MiLB broadcast.
- Assist with operating a Tricaster system.
- Gain knowledge and experience in the management and responsibilities involved in marketing a professional sports team.
- Shadow and learn from marketing staff as directed by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager.
- Represent the organization at outside community events and appearances as needed.
- Represent the organization as mascot Keyote as needed.
- Assist with executing outside events, including Scout Night and Baseball Camp.
- Work Frederick Keys home games and other events held at Nymeo Field as directed by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager, Marketing Coordinator, and General Manager of the Keys.
