About The Position

Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports) is a leading professional sports company, with a collection of assets that includes the New York Knicks (NBA) and the New York Rangers (NHL), as well as two development league teams – the Westchester Knicks (NBAGL) and the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL). MSG Sports also operates a professional sports team performance center – the MSG Training Center in Greenburgh, NY. The In-house DJ creates music mixes during Westchester Knicks games, curating the sound of the team’s brand, and building the atmosphere and energy of the event. The In-house DJ reports to the Manager, Event Presentation.

Requirements

• 2 years DJ experience in a live venue setting.
• Expert in current DJ mixing software.
• Familiarity with digital audio playback units.
• Ability to follow game scripts and execute against the Ability to execute music strategy developed by WCK Event Presentation Manager.

Responsibilities

• Attends pregame meetings to review and anticipate event needs.
• Executes music mixes during ingress, warmups, and egress.
• Selects music during timeouts and stoppages with focus on proper emotional tone.
• Executes musical cues for contests, ceremonies, and other on-court presentations.
• Executes music cues (beats, sound effects, stings) from Instant Replay unit.
• Takes cues from Westchester Knicks Game Director and follows game scripts.
• Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.
