About The Position
At IGT, we design and build casino games played by millions of players worldwide. For our studio, we’re searching for talented Game Mathematician based in Chicago, IL who are passionate about creating engaging, high class gaming experiences. As a Game Mathematician, you will play a key role in shaping the player experience by designing and analyzing the mathematical models behind our games. You will contribute across the full game development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in game mathematics for real-money casino games.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, physics)
- Solid experience with MS Excel and basic programming knowledge (C++, C#, or similar language)
- Candidates must be fully eligible to work full-time under a local employment contract in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities
- Designing and developing mathematical models for casino games, including RTP, volatility, and overall game behavior.
- Creating math for original titles for digital or land-based games.
- Producing clear and detailed mathematical documentation (math models, game logic)
- Testing and validating game outcomes using Excel, simulations, and internal tools
- Supporting development teams with mathematical insights and ensuring accuracy throughout production
