About The Position
This position is for a Game Day Cheer Head Coach for the Varsity team at Wilson High School. The coach will be responsible for leading the cheerleading program.
Requirements
- Head/assistant coaching experience at the Modified level or equivalent credentials.
- Detailed knowledge of current practices, rules, principles, and technical skills of cheerleading.
- Ability to recruit and sustain a program.
- Valid and up-to-date First Aid, CPR, AED & Concussion Management certifications.
- Valid and up-to-date DASA certification.
- NYS Coaching certification.
- Completion of an internship for the particular sport OR possession of a temporary or permanent NYS coaching license for the particular sport.
- Proof of NYS fingerprinting clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Varsity Game Day Cheer team.
- Recruit and sustain the cheer program.
- Ensure adherence to current practices, rules, principles, and technical skills of cheerleading.
- Manage team activities and development.
