Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or equivalent training.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction project management.
  • Concrete and successful experience in managing large-scale projects and ideally, in environmental compensation projects in a maritime setting.
  • Proficiency in reading complex plans and specifications.
  • Mastery of MS Office and MS Project and/or Primavera P6 software.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required to communicate with senior management.
  • Valid driver's license (Class 5).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze plans, specifications, and project requirements from the submission stage.
  • Coordinate the submission team and gather the required technical and administrative information.
  • Participate in the recruitment and setup of the project team upon award.
  • Negotiate, award, and manage subcontractor contracts and critical material orders, in collaboration with project teams.
  • Plan the project schedule, including the critical path, and ensure regular follow-up.
  • Collaborate with the superintendent and project team to define work methods and execution strategy.
  • Ensure the obtention of necessary permits and compliance with standards, prevention programs, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead site meetings, while maintaining effective communication with subcontractors, professionals, and the client.
  • Manage the execution budget, change orders, payments, and administrative follow-up with internal departments.
  • Supervise project delivery, obtain final client acceptance, and ensure the preparation of site closing documents.
  • Perform any other task necessary for the success of the project.
