About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing disability files, employee relations, training, legal compliance, and wellness initiatives within a food distribution company. They promote a balanced work environment and collaborate closely with operational teams. This is a full-time, permanent position with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (rotating hours), located at 7755 Rue Grenache, Anjou, QC H1J 1C4.

Requirements

Hold a bachelor's degree in industrial relations / human resources or a related field
Have 3+ years of experience in human resources in a generalist role
Knowledge of various labor laws such as: LNT (Act respecting labor standards), LSST (Act respecting occupational health and safety), LATMP (Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases)
Bilingual in written and spoken communication (French/English)
Motivated to coach and influence experienced managers
Stand out for your organizational skills and priority management
Enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative environment
Demonstrate empathy, autonomy, and flexibility in working methods

Responsibilities

Provide an advisory role to managers in their daily activities
Plan, develop, and follow up on training and onboarding sessions for operations employees
Answer various questions from staff
Participate in different HR activities such as: performance management, occupational health and safety, compensation, disability files, corporate events, etc.
Offer support regarding problem resolution and the application of human resources management policies and procedures, particularly regarding the interpretation of the labor agreement and various labor legislations
Participate and support the staffing process as needed
Perform any other tasks related to the position
