About The Position

Mor Furniture is seeking certified Furniture Repair Technicians with experience repairing and maintaining furniture both in-shop and at customer homes. The ideal candidate is detailed-oriented and customer-focused. This role involves cleaning, inspecting, and evaluating furniture to determine repair requirements, and performing various repairs such as scratches, dents, chips, splits, tears, and other cosmetic or structural damage. The technician will also conduct touch-ups, refinishing, staining, color matching, and upholstery repairs. Responsibilities include disassembling and reassembling furniture, conducting in-home repairs while maintaining a professional and courteous customer experience, and safely using repair tools, chemicals, and equipment. The role also requires documenting repair work, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and communicating effectively with customers and management. Requirements

  • Certified Furniture Repair Technician
  • Experience repairing and maintaining furniture both in-shop and at customer homes
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Must be 21+ to drive company vehicle
  • Experience with Mohawk products
  • Team and customer service-oriented
  • Professional in appearance
  • Able to follow directions and multitask

  • Able to pass a drug test and a background check

Responsibilities

  • Clean, inspect, and evaluate furniture to determine repair requirements
  • Repair scratches, dents, chips, splits, tears, and other cosmetic or structural damage.
  • Perform touch-ups, refinishing, staining, color matching, and upholstery repairs as needed.
  • Disassemble and reassemble furniture for repair and transportation.
  • Conduct in-home furniture repairs while maintaining professional and courteous customer experience.
  • Safely use repair tools, chemicals, and equipment in accordance with company and safety standards.
  • Document repair work, materials used, and service results.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop and at customer locations.
  • Load, unload, and transport furniture and repair equipment when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management regarding repair status and recommendations.
  • Responsible for operating company vehicles ensuring general upkeep and maintenance.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers and team members.
  • Safely transport tools, materials, and furniture to and from customer locations.
  • Follow all driving and safety regulations while operating company vehicles.
