About The Position

Raymour & Flanigan’s Furniture Repair Technician in Training Program trains associates to repair furniture for customers, including stitching upholstery, repairing wood and leather, and repairing mechanisms in motion furniture. Technicians work and train in the company’s service centers. The training program lasts 7–12 weeks, offers monetary growth based on skill completion, and covers five levels of craftsmanship techniques, including color, finishes, upholstery, leather, and structure repair.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull furniture of all sizes, including furniture weighing more than 100 lbs.
• Comfort working with hands and aptitude for craftsmanship, artistic work, and/or carpentry services.
• High attention to detail and professionalism.
• Knowledge of mixing paints, powders, and stains to match existing finishes.
• Ability to repair, replace, and rebuild damaged leather, upholstery furniture, or mechanical parts.
• Ability to set up and operate power drills, sanders, saws, and other tools required for repair.
• Excellent listening skills and ability to work independently and with a team.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
