About The Position

Rooms To Go is hiring a Furniture Repair Apprentice to learn and cross-train in its Shop Apprentice Program. The position develops skills in case goods, fabric upholstery, and leather upholstery restoration, and involves performing furniture and upholstery repairs and formulating colors for repairs. The starting pay is $17.50 per hour. Associates may also earn an additional $50 weekly bonus for working certain shifts, depending on location. The company has 8,500 employees and more than 200 locations and describes itself as a financially stable, growing furniture retailer with opportunities for career development. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have the capacity to differentiate color.
Demonstrate great attention to detail.
Submit to a drug test and background investigation.
Be able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
Be able to bend, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
Be able to follow directions and work safely.
Be authorized to work in the U.S.
