About The Position

Broad River Retail is seeking a Furniture Prep and Assembly Trainee to join its Operations Team. The role assembles and prepares furniture to ensure product quality before delivery to customers. Work includes unpacking and assembling furniture, inspecting items for damage, handling products safely, and documenting completed work according to standardized procedures. The position operates on a contract-to-hire basis and is located at the Fort Mill Corporate Site in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

The work takes place in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. Employees regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring, and must be able to lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made in accordance with the ADA.

Requirements

• Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions.
• Ability to safely use small power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to use tools and box cutters properly and safely.
• Ability to stand, stoop, walk, and crouch for an entire shift.
• Willingness to collaborate with teammates to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring.
• Ability to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Unpack and assemble furniture in an organized manner.
• Inspect furniture for damage.
• Use proper product handling techniques.
• Lift and move products up to 50 pounds or more using appropriate tools.
• Document completed work according to standardized procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
