About The Position

Broussard Group, a thirty-year certified Allsteel, HNI, Kimball Office Furniture Interior Services Company, is seeking a highly motivated Furniture Installer to join their rapidly growing team. This full-time, on-site position offers opportunities for professional growth and development within a culture of Commercial / GSA Interiors and Residential Designers. The role involves assembling and installing commercial and residential furniture, managing logistics, preparing job sites, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The company emphasizes customer-focused service and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Successfully pass a background check.
  • Successfully pass a drug test.
  • Must be able to professionally communicate with customers and team members.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Be able to work within budgeted project timelines.
  • Must take pride in delivering and performing quality workmanship.
  • Must be able to distinguish between color, shade & brightness.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, repeat movements and use their hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 110lbs or less.
  • Must be able to move up to 110 pounds with assistance, by lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting, squatting, and crouching is required.
  • For safety reasons, respirators, are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face.
  • Be exposed to various inside working conditions: The change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and travel to out-of-town job sites.
  • Basic knowledge of power and hand tools.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with minimum 2 years of driving experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial office furniture, modular systems, or cabinetry is often required.
  • Familiarity with tools – specifically Power Tols.
  • Some experience preferred, but not required.
  • Artistic abilities/qualities (including, but not limited to a sharp eye for color and good hand/eye-coordination).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and align commercial office furniture (workstations, cubicles, case goods) or residential furniture according to layout specifications.
  • Load and unload trucks, move furniture using dollies, and prepare the job site by clearing debris & trash.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, job tickets, and installation manuals.
  • Operate hand-held power tools and small tools safely.
  • Inspect furniture for damage, ensure stability, and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service on-site.
  • Ability to lift, transport, and assemble heavy furniture.
