About The Position

Broussard Group, a thirty-year certified Allsteel, HNI, Kimball Office Furniture Interior Services Company, is seeking a highly motivated Furniture Installer to join their rapidly growing team. This full-time, on-site position contributes to a culture of Commercial / GSA Interiors and Residential Designers. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Successfully pass a background check.
• Successfully pass a drug test.
• Must be able to professionally communicate with customers and team members.
• Enjoy working in a team environment.
• Be able to work independently.
• Be able to work within budgeted project timelines.
• Must take pride in delivering and performing quality workmanship.
• Detail oriented.
• Basic knowledge of power and hand tools.
• Must have a valid driver's license with minimum 2 years of driving experience.
• Must be able to move up to 110 pounds with assistance, by lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Lifting, squatting, and crouching is required.
• For safety reasons, respirators, are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face.
• Be exposed to various inside working conditions: The change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
• Problem solving skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime and travel to out-of-town job sites.
• Must be able to distinguish between color, shade & brightness.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, repeat movements and use their hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 110lbs or less.
• Must be able to stair-carry objects.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Driving a Box Truck 24ft with Lift Gate.
• Experience with commercial office furniture, modular systems, or cabinetry is often required.
• Familiarity with tools – specifically Power Tools.
• Some experience preferred, but not required.
• Artistic abilities/qualities (including, but not limited to a sharp eye for color and good hand/eye-coordination).

Responsibilities

• Drive a 24ft box truck with a lift gate.
• Assemble, install, and align commercial office furniture (workstations, cubicles, case goods) or residential furniture according to layout specifications.
• Load and unload trucks, move furniture using dollies, and prepare the job site by clearing debris & trash.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job tickets, and installation manuals.
• Operate hand-held power tools and small tools safely.
• Inspect furniture for damage, ensure stability, and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
• Provide professional, customer-focused service on-site.
• Lift, transport, and assemble heavy furniture.
