Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking a Furniture Installer to join its Facilities management team. This role is responsible for managing and servicing university-owned property, supporting the university's mission through creative and collaborative campus development and maintenance. The Facilities team aims to fulfill the university's needs by managing resources effectively and delivering excellent customer service. This position may involve working independently or as part of a team to complete various work order assignments and supervisor-directed tasks, while maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities include setting up and dismantling office furniture, cubicles, modular furniture, and office equipment. The role also involves transporting various types of furniture and equipment across campus, potentially ordering and picking up materials, operating vehicles like forklifts and trucks, and assisting with minor repairs and preparations for new facilities. For the Facilities Technician II level, additional responsibilities include reading furniture office plans and drawings, performing lead activities by directing Facilities Technician I, and performing mathematical calculations for space planning and equipment arrangement. This level may also involve meeting with University departmental staff for pre-planning move requirements.
