This role involves interpreting and following Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality. The operator will support safety initiatives, follow instructions from senior operators, and balance multiple tasks. Strong batch chemistry math skills are essential for accurate calculations. The work environment can be hot, dirty, dusty, and humid, requiring the use of a respirator, flame-resistant clothing, and other safety gear in a noisy setting with strict adherence to safety and quality protocols. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining large-scale powder production equipment such as atomizers, spray dryers, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and pallet jacks. The role also involves working with high-pressure gases, induction-powered furnaces, and high-vacuum equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs are also part of the job.
