Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. is seeking a Furnace Operator for their Indianapolis, IN location. This role operates on the 2nd shift, from 02:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The Furnace Operator will be responsible for interpreting and following Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules to execute daily tasks safely and efficiently, while adhering to quality standards. They will also support safety initiatives, follow instructions from senior operators, and balance multiple tasks. Strong batch chemistry math skills are essential for performing calculations and conversions. The role involves working in a challenging environment that can be hot, dirty, dusty, and humid, requiring the use of a respirator, flame-resistant clothing, and other safety gear in a noisy setting with strict adherence to safety and quality protocols. The operator will manage and maintain large-scale powder production equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and pallet jacks. They will work with high-pressure gases, induction-powered furnaces, and high-vacuum equipment, ensuring safe and compliant operations. Additionally, the role includes performing minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs using mechanical skills.
