About The Position

A mission-driven nonprofit is seeking a Fundraising Manager. The Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing and executing fundraising strategies that increase and diversify revenue. This is a full-time, Hybrid, temporary-to-permanent role based in Washington, DC. This role oversees donor cultivation, major gifts, foundation and corporate partnerships, fundraising events, and donor stewardship while leading fundraising operations and supporting organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, or a related field
  • 6–10 years of nonprofit fundraising experience
  • 5–6 years of leadership or management experience
  • Demonstrated success managing major gifts, donor relations, foundation and corporate giving, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Experience planning and executing fundraising events.
  • Proficiency with fundraising CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience in a nonprofit, charitable, or mission-driven organization preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • fundraising certification is a plus
  • Fluency in Arabic is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the annual fundraising strategy to achieve revenue goals.
  • Monitor fundraising performance and provide regular reports to leadership.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors through campaigns, direct mail, digital appeals, and personalized outreach.
  • Manage donor records, acknowledgments, and stewardship activities to ensure an excellent donor experience.
  • Identify, cultivate, and secure funding from private foundations, corporations, and charitable organizations, including grant submissions and reporting.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, conferences, and donor engagement activities.
  • Partner with the communications team to develop fundraising campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Maintain donor confidentiality and oversee the accuracy of donor data.
  • Supervise fundraising staff and volunteers while providing leadership and guidance.
  • Track fundraising goals, identify opportunities to re-engage lapsed donors, and build new donor relationships.
  • Represent the organization at networking events, meetings, and fundraising initiatives.
