About The Position

The Development Coordinator works alongside a dynamic development team and is responsible for the production of event materials, creating email campaigns, and supporting the development team to implement our Walk to End Alzheimer’s events, Do What You Love events, Ride to End Alzheimer’s and Relationship events in multiple chapters across the Territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • One year of office administrative experience
  • Experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data tracking, basic formulas and reporting
  • Effective written communication skills, include English usage, grammar, and spelling.
  • Ability to compose general business correspondence and review own work for accuracy.
  • Effective oral communication and customer service/interpersonal skills and ability to encourage teamwork and work cooperatively with others.
  • Multicultural, positive, Bilingual Spanish-English helpful.
  • Work history indicating dependability and accuracy with details.
  • Ability to accurately maintain records, prepare reports, and coordinate multiple projects, effective logistical coordination skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Maintain professional personal demeanor and presence in person and via telephone with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work well on a team is essential
  • Punctuality with an appreciation of the impact of effective coverage to the success of the association
  • Superior self-management skills, as an independent initiative to collaborate with others are essential

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce branded event materials (i.e. flyers, signage, digital assets) in accordance with Association brand standards.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for communications projects including updating event web pages, event signage, Pull reports and data for event managers to execute on call/text campaigns, challenges and other chapter initiatives
  • Input confidential charitable gift information, prepare and process in-kind gift acknowledgments promptly, prepare reports, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Material organization, support and maintain needed inventory and ordering including walk t-shirts for assigned walks.
  • Track and confirm receipt of orders/deliveries and event signage.
  • Phone outreach to past participants and donors.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for development activities including challenge logistics, bulk mailings, special events, identifying prospective supports, donor cultivation and recognition activities
  • Directly interact with donors, including answering development and organization inquiries, accepting donations
  • Provide supervision and training to assigned volunteers.
  • Research potential prospects and networking opportunities to grow Do What You Love, Ride, Relationship Event, and Walk pipelines.
  • Actively participate in learning opportunities for professional growth and self- improvement.
  • Maintain an organizational climate that attracts, motivates, supports, and retains high-quality staff and volunteers who are committed to serving individuals and families
  • Ensure Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Ride to End Alzheimer’s, Relationship Event and Do What You Love standards are being followed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10-15% within the assigned territory by car. Travel in this case is considered time spent away from the office, in the community, to fulfill the job goals. While most such travel is on the same day, occasionally overnight travel or air travel may be required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, access to reliable vehicle, good driving record and proof of automobile insurance
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.
