Democracy Now! Internships are paid, 20-hour per week, temporary work placements to help students, people early in their careers and career changers gain entry-level skills and experience in the fields of archiving and fundraising in a non-profit setting. Democracy Now!’s Fundraising and Outreach Internship is an exciting opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of non-profit fundraising in a dynamic, fast-paced, and supportive environment. The Development Department is responsible for planning and implementing the fundraising goals of Democracy Now!, as well as promoting Democracy Now! to a broad public audience. Interns work closely with Democracy Now! fundraising staff to interact with and steward donors and respond to viewers and listeners. Participants are also responsible for entry-level tasks that are both essential to the healthy functioning of the development department and help prepare them for full-time jobs in non-profit fundraising.
