About The Position

Grassroots Team is seeking a motivated and outgoing individual to join our team as a Canvasser. As a Canvasser, you will be working to canvass door to door and on the street and fundraise on behalf of our amazing non-profit partner, Greenpeace USA. We work together on fighting to end toxic plastic waste, standing up to the fossil fuel industry, and stopping public health crises caused by climate disasters across our country. You will be walking through communities, neighborhoods, and public areas every day, talking to people and engaging them on serious issues and inspiring them to become part of the movement. You will be raising money, support, and memberships for some of the best nonprofit groups in the world today. We are actively seeking people who understand the value and meaning of grassroots activism and fundraising, and are willing to work on the ground level and develop their career here.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Outgoing and comfortable in social situations
• Comfortable fundraising door-to-door in neighborhoods
• Willing to walk through communities, neighborhoods, and public areas daily
• Willing to go up and down hills and stairs multiple times a day in all types of weather year-round
• Passionate about non-profit and community organizations

Nice To Haves

• Backgrounds in theater, comedy, or sales are a plus
• Interest in launching a non-profit career

Benefits

• Base Pay: $18.00
• Bonuses begin at and above our weekly standard
• Canvassers average up to $30 per hour weekly when bonusing
