Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Nursing Faculty interested in teaching with our BSN Nursing program online. You will be teaching students in the role of facilitator, role model, coach and advisor. Incorporating Chamberlain Care philosophy to educate and embolden diverse nursing professionals in a culture where students and colleagues thrive and cultivate extraordinary nursing graduates. Part-time professors lead asynchronous discussions and teach synchronous live lectures each week, (scheduling AM and PM options for students) and will be available via email, online conferencing or telephone, to provide support and respond to student's enquiries in a timely manner. We are presently accepting applications in the following areas of course specialization: NR-224: Fundamentals: Skills Students are introduced to the fundamental skills of professional nursing. An introductory unit of physics provides the basis for understanding concepts such as body mechanics, positioning and mobility. The laboratory component provides practice of selected fundamental nursing skills, as well as psychomotor skills necessary for care of individuals requiring assistance with mobility, hygiene and comfort. Included are basic principles of drug administration, teaching-learning and vital-sign assessment. Students have the opportunity to develop the beginning skills of a professional nurse through experiential learning. NR-226: Fundamentals: Patient Care Content focuses on health promotion and the rehabilitative aspects of patient care. Students provide direct patient care in the acquisition of skills and concepts of professional nursing. The nursing process is utilized as the student implements basic aspects of nursing practice. A variety of populations and settings are used in the experiential learning component of this course.
