About The Position
National Counseling Group (NCG) is seeking a Functional Family Therapist (FFT) to join their team. This role involves working directly with youth and their families to address challenging behaviors using a structured, evidence-based treatment model. The therapist will conduct comprehensive assessments, engage families in active, change-oriented therapy, and implement individualized treatment plans. The position involves carrying a caseload of 10-12 clients, collaborating with families and community systems, and maintaining clear documentation aligned with the FFT model. Requirements
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field
- QMHP or Licensed Eligible (Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, or LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive initial assessment to include all desired treatment outcomes, assessment of systemic strengths and needs, comprehensive safety plan, and analysis of contributing factors to referral behaviors
- Carry a caseload of 10-12 clients
- Engage the entire family unit in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement
- Implement problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, case outcome review, and strategy revision procedure
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the FFT model
- Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout FFT treatment
- Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with the FFT model
- Participate in all FFT training, supervision and consultation activities
- Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with care teams as needed
- Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
- Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level)
