The Role: For a respected SAP Consulting Practice, we are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant SAP / SuccessFactors Payroll (Belgium). In this 100% remote role within Europe, you will manage both internal processes and client-facing projects for complex payroll implementations. As the indispensable link between functional client needs and their technical translation, you will ensure a flawless go-live at large enterprise organizations in the Belgian market. Simultaneously, you will lay the foundation for sustainable, strategic partnerships.

Requirements

  • Solid techno-functional consulting experience with SAP HCM in the Belgian market (both on-premise and cloud), preferably gained in large-scale or complex matrix organizations.
  • Thorough expertise in Belgian payroll legislation and fiscal guidelines, including mandatory year-end closings such as FinProf, Belcotax, and BOW reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills to effortlessly translate complex HR workflows into stable SAP functionalities.
  • Fluent in Flemish, French, or Dutch, complemented by a strong business command of English.
  • Experience with or a clear motivation to specialize in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
  • Residing within Europe and possessing a valid work permit (no visa sponsorship is possible).

Responsibilities

  • Architecting & Configuration: Designing and configuring the complete payroll environment, maintaining an optimal balance between complex business requirements, technical frameworks, and coherence with other systems.
  • Belgian Compliance: Initiating workshops and translating local laws and regulations into efficient SAP solutions, with specific attention to post-payroll flows and year-end processing.
  • Data Transformation & Security: Coordinating and facilitating data mapping and file cleansing between the client and the implementation team, strictly adhering to privacy and security requirements.
  • Links & Integration: Advising tech specialists on integration issues and conducting integration workshops for corporate clients.
  • Testing & Quality Control: Setting up and executing in-depth internal system and regression tests to eliminate potential errors before the client's User Acceptance Testing (UAT) begins.
  • Sales Support: Assisting commercial teams in defining project scope, devising solutions, and estimating hours for new projects and change requests.
