About The Position
The State of Ohio is seeking a Functional Architect 1 to support the design, development, and accessibility of customer-facing websites and web applications. The ideal candidate will have experience gathering business requirements, ensuring website accessibility compliance, defining functional architecture, reviewing website code, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver accessible digital solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education in Website Design, Web Development, Accessibility, or a related field
- Experience analyzing and documenting functional requirements
- Knowledge of website accessibility standards and accessibility compliance
- Experience gathering business and technical requirements
- Ability to review website code and recommend accessibility improvements
- Experience testing websites and customer-facing applications for accessibility
- Strong understanding of UI/UX strategy aligned with accessibility standards
- Experience identifying and tracking project risks, issues, and action items
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience leading accessibility initiatives for websites and applications
- Knowledge of web hosting platforms and customer-facing applications
