About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Fullstack QA Engineer with a background in fintech, banking, or other finance-related products to join the banking QA team. The team builds mobile banking apps on shared backend APIs. The role tests mobile apps and backend services manually and contributes to test automation for APIs and mobile apps. Because the products handle real-money transactions, including cards, transfers, and payments, quality is a key focus.

The engineer will test iOS and Android apps, backend APIs, and integrations; maintain test cases and automation; contribute to mobile UI automation; prepare test data and accounts; and help improve QA approaches and processes. The role involves clarifying requirements directly with developers and product managers, participating in release checks, and using AI tools while verifying their output.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer.
• Experience with fintech, banking, payments, or other finance-related products.
• Strong test design skills, including writing test cases and checklists from short task descriptions.
• Hands-on experience testing mobile apps on both iOS and Android, including TestFlight or Firebase builds.
• Strong API testing skills, including HTTP, REST, status codes, and authorization.
• Hands-on API test automation experience: able to read and extend automated API tests in code, preferably Java or Kotlin, and write simple tests by analogy rather than architecting a framework from scratch.
• Experience with Postman and Newman, including scripts, environments, and collections, and experience running them in CI.
• Experience using proxy tools such as Charles or Proxyman to inspect traffic, use breakpoints, and mock responses.
• Experience working with logs to localize bugs.
• Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and willingness to ask questions, investigate unclear tasks, and own results.
• Willingness to perform manual testing; this is not a pure automation role.
• Native Russian.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building test automation in code from scratch, including a framework, CI pipeline, and reporting.
• Experience with GitLab CI, including pipelines, schedules, and artifacts.
• Basic SQL skills.
• Mobile UI test automation experience with Appium, Espresso/Kaspresso, or XCUITest.
• Experience with feature flags and testing releases with partial rollout.

Responsibilities

• Test new features and run regression testing for iOS and Android apps.
• Test backend APIs and integrations, including requests, responses, and logs.
• Design and maintain test cases and checklists in TestRail.
• Build, maintain, and run automated API tests with Postman and Newman in GitLab CI.
• Maintain and extend the existing Java / REST Assured API test framework, including TestRail integration and Allure reporting, and restore it to regular runs.
• Contribute to mobile UI test automation for iOS and Android, with developers in native test suites or using cross-platform tools, focusing on end-to-end checks against the real backend.
• Prepare test data and test accounts for automated and manual runs.
• Help evolve test automation approaches and tooling.
• Clarify requirements directly with developers and product managers, investigating how features should work when requirements are unclear.
• Participate in release checks, including release candidate testing and post-release smoke testing, and help improve QA processes.
• Use AI tools to speed up work and verify their output.
