Fullstack Engineer

FortifyNew York City, NY

About The Position

Fortify is modernizing student financing. We're looking for a full-stack engineer who's excited about fintech, capital markets, and product to join us in opening up access to education. About us Fortify aims to help students succeed, by helping them discover schools, giving them more affordable ways to pay, and by helping them be successful once they've graduated. Since COVID, access to credit has collapsed. Students of all kinds - at trade schools or at major universities - need financing options to afford school. We help educational institutions run these financing programs more effectively, and we go beyond financing to help students be successful after they've graduated. We build for those who have the ambition, motivation, and wherewithal to attend school and improve their lives, but are lacking the resources. Fortify is backed by top-tier Silicon Valley VCs, and we're a small, very well-capitalized company. Both of our cofounders founded two separate venture-backed companies in the space, and one was an early hire at SoFi. You'll be joining a small team that has a lot of expertise in fintech and lending. About this role: You'll be a full-stack engineer, working on our Fortify's core financing platform. You'll be given significant autonomy over the existing product, as well as owning major launches. You'll work on a very small team and have opportunities to own design and product work. You'll help fulfill our mission of providing financial stability and better educational options to students.
