About The Position

Sidecar Legal is building an AI Associate for litigators at small law firms. Our mission is to help lawyers grow their businesses by unlocking the 10x attorney within, making our litigators 10x better in both quality + quantity. We’re backed by SPC and Pear Capital. We’re hiring a full stack engineer in SF to join our founding team, building products + features as we roll out our product to our first design partners. We are flexible on leveling, so feel free to reach out even if you are more senior.

Requirements

• Fast learner & wants to grow
• Recognizes and is excited that technology is changing rapidly, and likes adapting to the “latest and greatest”
• Excited to grow own skillset, and likes getting feedback and learning from world class engineers
• High agency, and excited about being on a small, high performing team
• Comfortable asking questions when blocked, and doesn’t need prescriptive instructions on what to do
• Comfortable doing own research and making independent decisions where possible
• Likes moving fast
• Comfortable with making pragmatic decisions with imperfect information, and learning from contact with reality
• Comfortable with rapidly evolving codebase where the roadmap may evolve rapidly on even a week to week basis
• Some familiarity with our stack: React, Node, Evals, CI/CD, Tailwind, Sentry, Langfuse, Posthog
• Background or interest in building for lawyers
• Had some experience or contact with the legal profession in the US, or is curious about learning about it

Responsibilities

• Building products + features
• Wearing many hats, including working on frontend, backend, infrastructure, and testing
• Making small design + product decisions where needed
• Listening in on customer calls and giving opinions on low hanging ways to make their experience better
