The company is on track to launch several new product offerings in 2026, including a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option. Dave is looking for a talented Fullstack Engineer 2 to continue building the foundation that empowers the engineers to build products that help millions of people improve their relationship with money. Our EC Card Squad is building a new charge card product that gives members another way to access their Extra Cash. The card pairs with Dave's existing Extra Cash offering, giving members a physical card for everyday purchases all without the downsides of traditional credit card reporting. We’re looking for someone who thrives on solving hard problems, is passionate about finding innovative solutions not just for today but allowing for growth of the future, delights customers, and inspires colleagues.

Requirements

• A graduate with a BS or MS from a computer science or similar program. Other majors will be considered in conjunction with appropriate related experience and/or training.
• 2+ years of experience in software development
• Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to work as part of a team
• Experience programming in one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: JavaScript, Java, Python, C/C++ or Go
• Effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback
• The ability to discuss and explain system architecture and component design

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Dave Tech Stack is a plus: Typescript (Runs on Node.js), MySQL, Google Cloud Platform, React Native, React

Responsibilities

• Play an instrumental role in building products that help millions of people
• Full stack web/mobile application development in Javascript and Typescript
• Work closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications and build products leveraging frameworks such as React & React Native
• Participate in the design and development of fully-tested APIs that will interface with multiple services
• Deliver consistent high-quality code by shipping incrementally across multiple PRs
• Write unit and integration tests to promote squad-owned quality
• Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end services
• Regularly participate in code reviews and other team functions
