This role is responsible for the assembly of mechanical and electrical parts, including cabinets and enclosures. The assembler will operate solder pots, handle cable assemblies, and test parts. The position requires the ability to polish and test fiber optic cables, cut and prepare fiber cable for termination, and assemble and package fiber optic connector components. The assembler will also terminate single and multi-fiber cables, understand cleaning methods for optical assembly, and assemble fiber optic and electronic parts according to work instructions and assembly drawings. Key responsibilities include recognizing discrepancies, reading Bills of Materials and Shop Packs, inspecting assemblies, completing operational paperwork for product traceability, and communicating effectively within a team to ensure customer satisfaction. After a 30-day training period, the employee will work with limited supervision to produce timely and quality products, inspecting their own work against quality standards, work instructions, and prints.
