This role is responsible for the assembly of mechanical and electrical parts, including cabinets and enclosures. The assembler will operate solder pots, handle cable assemblies, and test parts. The position requires the ability to polish and test fiber optic cables, cut and prepare fiber cable for termination, and assemble and package fiber optic connector components. The assembler will also terminate single and multi-fiber cables, understand cleaning methods for optical assembly, and assemble fiber optic and electronic parts according to work instructions and assembly drawings. Key responsibilities include recognizing discrepancies, reading Bills of Materials and Shop Packs, inspecting assemblies, completing operational paperwork, communicating within a team, and working with limited supervision after a 30-day training period. The role also involves inspecting one's own work, taking responsibility for tasks, respecting confidential information, and being available for overtime to meet production goals.
