About The Position

A family on the Upper East Side is seeking a top-notch, full-time, live-out nanny for their two young children, aged 3 years old and 5 months old. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm (40 hours), with an option to work Fridays from 8 am to 1 pm. Flexibility to work Fridays on occasion is required, and overtime will be paid. The role begins August 3rd, with some flexibility. The parents may occasionally work from home and are looking for a nanny who is comfortable working independently, takes ownership of the children's daily routine, and collaborates with involved parents. They value a low-tech home environment, with restrictions on AirPods and excessive phone use during work hours. Screen-time for the children is not permitted. Phone use during work hours should be limited to personal emergencies or communication with parents.

Requirements

  • Recent full-time nanny experience with at least 2 or more young children

Responsibilities

  • All child-related care
  • Planning engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and outings
  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks
  • Children’s laundry
  • Maintaining organization of the children’s bedrooms, play areas, clothing, toys, and supplies
  • Transporting the children to classes and playdates
  • Supporting consistent routines and sleep schedules
  • Communicating regularly with parents regarding care and well being.

Benefits

  • $38–42/hour, based on experience. Overtime rate: $57–63/hour
