About The Position

A kind father based in Hockessin, DE is seeking a full-time nanny/family assistant to help with their three children, ages 11, 9, and 6. This is a live-out role, requiring daily commute. The schedule is 40 hours per week. On days with children (Tuesday, Thursday, and every other Friday), hours are generally 11 am-7 pm or 12 pm-8 pm. On days without children (Monday, Wednesday, and every other Friday), hours are flexible. Occasional weekend help is preferred. The start date is flexible, with options to begin before August or in late August when school resumes.

Requirements

• Experience with school-aged children
• Proactive and self-directed
• Warm and kind
• Comfortable in the kitchen and preparing basic meals
• US work authorization
• Local and within driving distance to Hockessin, DE
• Flexible for occasional weekend work
• Driver's license
• Comfortable using their own car for errands on days without the children

Nice To Haves

• Flexibility for occasional help on weekends with the kids are in the home
• Available to start prior to August

Responsibilities

• Caring for the children when they are in the home- supervising meal and hygiene routines
• Transporting children from school and to activities and extracurriculars
• Preparing meals for the children, occasionally preparing enough for the father as well
• Daily tidying and organization
• Family laundry
• Errands and grocery shopping
• Keeping track of household inventory
