FULL TIME FACULTY 10-MONTH
About The Position
Felician University is seeking experienced, dedicated, and academically qualified nursing specialists to teach in the Prelicensure Program of the School of Nursing. Faculty should have experience teaching in both traditional and online settings and must be willing to successfully complete Felician online certification. Candidates should have an educational background in the fundamentals of the discipline and substantial real-world experience to contribute to class discussions and case analyses. The role requires a Master of Science in Nursing. A doctoral degree is preferred; faculty teaching in the graduate program must hold an earned doctoral degree or be currently enrolled in a doctoral program. Candidates must have New Jersey RN licensure, at least two years of practical experience in their area of specialization, and comprehensive knowledge of and experience in clinical nursing education. Previous higher-education teaching experience is preferred. The salary range is $77,380–$93,048, commensurate with rank, experience, and certifications. Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing.
- New Jersey licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- At least two years of practical experience in the area of specialization.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in clinical nursing education.
- Experience teaching in both traditional and online venues.
- Willingness to successfully complete Felician online certification.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage with students of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Willingness and ability to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and values of the University.
- Faculty teaching in the graduate program must have an earned doctoral degree or be currently enrolled in a doctoral program.
- Graduate Faculty must have current national certification and New Jersey Board of Nursing licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
