About The Position
Full-Time Faculty for the Middletown PA Program, under the supervision of the Program Director and Academic/ Clinical Coordinator, is responsible for the management and evaluation of the program's academic and clinical components. The Faculty member will work 36.5 hours per week. Eligible for 8 hours of clinical time.
Requirements
- Master of Science required
- Valid clinical license
- NCCPA Board Certification
- Effectively manage and organize daily tasks independently and with a team, while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment
- Good interpersonal skills are required, both written and oral
Nice To Haves
- Current clinical practice is recommended
- Participation in scholarly activities is encouraged (involvement in professional organizations, research, etc)
- Serving on school-wide committee is encouraged
Responsibilities
- Maintain accreditation by coordinating the efforts of the PA Program to meet and/or exceed the ARC-PA Standards
- Instruct first year and second year students in Physical Diagnosis Lab, Clinical Correlations, Procedures, and lecturing in area of expertise
- Advise first year and second year students
- Review and grade master's projects
- Review academic/clinical curricular content for appropriateness to PA practice
- Monitor evaluation of learning outcomes
- Create and review academic and clinical exams
- Participate on appropriate committees as requested by the Program Director
- Participate in reaccreditation and program evaluation activities
- Participate in the admissions process including application review, interview and serving on the admissions committee
- Participate in the developing, reviewing and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals, and competencies of the program
- Participate in remedial instruction
- Participate in the preparation of accreditation documents and participate in the self-study process
- Participate in the recruitment effort
